A military statement said that an official investigation into the death of the suicide bomber in'serious circumstances' on Monday morning was underway.

The incident comes just days after the suicide bomber in a nearby bar killed at least eight people and wounded 22, during a barbeque on Sunday in Istanbul's Ortakoy district.

On July 21, a number of people were killed in separate barbeques in Istanbul while fighting between pro-Isis supporters and IS loyalists broke out there.

At the time, Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said Turkey needed to 'do its bit' in countering ISIS and the extremists were a 'terrorist threat'.

The possibility of damaging storms headed for Sunshine Coast this weekend, as they have been in recent days, is a serious concern for many residents with concerns ranging from flash flooding to landslides.

The Department of Emergency Management issued an emergency bulletin Friday warning of potential flash flooding and landslides if conditions were not conducive to safe storm sheltering on the coast, especially near South Tarong.

The bulletin says: "Falls, surf crashes and serious injuries can cause significant damage to buildings and property. High tide flooding in areas of high exposure to storms can cause serious damages to structures.

"Satellite imagery shows the Sunshine Coast experiencing sustained (and possibly dangerous) high surf and high waves in the southernmost areas during some periods of the morning."

"The current and past impacts of the major storms that have formed recently and are still moving south are dangerous and life-threatening," the bulletin says.

However, it doesn't specify what will happen if some or all of these storms remain at their present intensity.

The forecast weather forecast from the bureau also includes strong winds and high surf.

It does state that "the number of high waves can vary by up to 2-4" along the coast.
